History

The Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on February 22nd, 1922 at the campus of the University of Michigan. Principle members in the founding of the Sigma Chapter were Hurlong Scott of Epsilon Chapter, a senior medic who served as polemarch, Rudolph T. Ashe, a promising athlete initiated at Alpha chapter, and George R. Dorsey of Zeta chapter.
